Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions
How many baby blankets am I allowed to donate?

As many as you'd like, as long as the blankets are handmade and follow the donation guidelines - keep them coming!

Do these blankets ever get donated to other hospitals?

At this time, we only donate our blankets to Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

Are there specific guidelines I need to follow?

Yes, we ask that you visit our How To page to get information about making blankets, donating yarn, and making financial donations. Please feel free to Contact Us with any additional questions!

If I make a financial donation, what will it be used for?

Donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to purchase blanket-making supplies.

Can I donate a blanket that I didn't make or that was purchased?

Please only donate blankets that you have made yourself and that have not been used. If you don't knit or crochet, you can donate yarn or make a financial donation to the Joan Schick Blanket Project.

Why can't I give the blanket(s) directly to the hospital?

Due to the nature and guidelines of the project, all donations should be sent directly to us. Deliveries are made to the hospital when we accumulate a collection of blankets.
